Hello, my fellow grassroots community! With so much excitement in the air, I have the privilege of displaying one of my art pieces at the DeVos Center in Grand Rapids, MI! This opportunity allows an artist like me to expand my emerging artistic creative process in spaces that are most needed for awareness and representation of the common folk collective.

My painting, titled Cha Cha (2025), has traveled from my studio space to various establishments in the city of Grand Rapids!

Locations where this amazing piece has found resonance and connection include:

  • Muse Gallery

  • Kendall College of Art and Design of FSU, Spark Gallery

  • DeVos Convention Center

I wonder where else we can represent the legacy of Jose "Cha Cha" Jimenez. If you do not know who he was, I encourage you to find documentaries that demonstrate his contributions, from an activist to a leader in BIPOC communities. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

This amazing art piece will begin a series of collections that will highlight other activists who have impacted our grassroots communities with empowerment and positive change for common folk. Stay tune!
