Arty Party Recipient Award

I was invited to participate in the Arty Party: Arty Awards & 20th Anniversary Show at the 106th Art Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI this weekend November 15th. According to the event information, there are 8 Grand Rapids artists who have been nominated for their unique creativity and as well the impact they have made within the city. I am one of the 8 artists that was nominated for the Next Generation Award! I’m so thrilled to have been recognized for the title! It is an honored to receive this award and I’m hoping that my work continues to bring awareness of cultural diversity, community, and storytelling dialogues that have not only made a huge impact in my life but as well the lives of those who have experienced injustice and discrimination. It is my duty to make sure my artwork bring conversations that are critically needed to reflect and understand the world is divinely beautifully diverse!
